Debian 4.04ra无法安装GCC

apt-get install gcc命令提示找不到源，apt-cache search gcc可以搜索到gcc 4.1的源，有cpp和gcc等的，但是却安装不上，Whic gcc没有提示，应该是没有安装GCC，另apt-get install make也不可以，我的Debian是最小化安装，安装文件为162M的那个。求助，请告诉我该怎么做。

what is your setting in the /etc/apt/sources.list?

how do you perform (e.g. steps) to install gcc?

make sure your sources.list is correct. that means you are able to perform execution of apt-get command.

your sources.list points to where resource in cdrom is located. Unless your cdrom has those pacakges, it won't work!

here has an example that contains correct one.

normally if resources are from the internet, it should looks as below:
