Console terminal can't read chinese or japanese

I run a console,
$ ls
file 1..
file 2..
????.???.avi
[????????].?????.rm

$
even I can view the chinese fonts on File Manager.

so, brother, how can I view chinese in a console, how set the fonts?

is 'zhcon' a .deb app.? debian offical site can download it? anyway, i will try it tonghit. thank you

I can read and write in xterm now,
I change lang, language to zh_hk, other zh_cn, then everything ok.
