fsck died with exit status 8

I use 2 disks, 1 for system, and other for mounting, there are 3 partitions on it, device hdb1 have problem now, when booting up, it check disk by system, error code:
fsck died with exit status 8, hdb1
i tried fsck /dev/hdb1, e2fsck also can not fix it, it say: superblocks error,
who have tools for linux can repair it?
