[問題]無法進入X(我是Debian新手)

各位大大 大家好我是一個第一次用Debian的新手之前有用過Redhat Slackware
現在我遇到了一個問題~ 有人可以幫我嗎?

我是用NVIDIA Rave TNT2顯示卡
我用xf86cfg 設定 選rave tnt2(Vega也試過了~)
在螢幕的部分我是選1024*768@60hz,70都試過
存檔後
還是進不去X
他說Fatal sever error:no screens found
找不到螢幕?!!
我該怎麼做?
換X server 嗎?

另一個問題是xf86cfg為什麼不能用滑鼠?
只要一選設定滑鼠就不動了

我Debian 3.0 七張光碟都有抓

我猜....
把您的 /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 設定顯示那一段，
改成這樣子：

代碼: 選擇全部

Section "Device"
        Identifier      "Generic Video Card"
        Driver          "nv"
EndSection


如果有『Option "UseFBDev" "true"』這一行，
要把它 Mark 起來或是乾脆刪掉。
然後再試試看。

另一個問題是xf86cfg為什麼不能用滑鼠?
只要一選設定滑鼠就不動了

我Debian 3.0 七張光碟都有抓

您有裝 gpm 嗎？
先把它關掉再試試看如何？


如果以上方法都不行，
請將您的 /var/log/XFree86.0.log 上的錯誤訊息貼出來如何？

或者在本站用關鍵字『nvidia』找找，
或許答案就在裡面！

老實說...這樣實在無法幫你debug，所以請post出XF86Config-4中的drivre section

nvidia的driver module請指定成nv

建議是修改XF86Config-4的設定檔，將vesa mode取消掉。

能否post出XF86Config-4的設定檔，只要Driver section和Monitor以及Screen section

您貼出來的 Log 我看了，
似乎是 vesa 和 nv 都無法辨識您的顯示卡的晶片。
請問您的顯示卡是？？
（是不是太新的晶片所以不支援？）

還有，
好像很少看到有在設定 busID 的，
您可以跳過去不要設定試試看。
