[問題]mozilla的字型

闗於mozilla的字型...
要怎麼弄才能讓mozilla抓到字型..讓我可以在Preference那裡選擇我裝上去的中文字型...
我應該是有裝好我的字型了....可是就是在mozilla那裡看不到.....

我這邊的 mozilla 1.1 都是自動抓到 X 底下的字型設定，所以您問的問題，我也不知道該怎麼回答。

嗯，不如您先列出 xlsfonts | grep big5 的結果，看看是否所有的中文字型都有設定好。

Well, everything looks fine for me. I am also a newbie to Linux, I hope that I can help, but don't expect too much. 8-)

Would you please also show the result of
$ ls -l /etc/X11
$ ls -l /etc/X11/fs
$ ls -l /var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType

and, if the file /etc/X11/fs/config exists, show the content of it, especially the line started with
catalogue = ...

And I also have two questions:

1. Why the line Load "type1" in XF86Config-4 is commented off? Did you do it manually?

2. How did you install Mozilla 1.1? Debian package? Compiled from source? Or some binary package (rpm, tar.gz)?

Sorry for so many questions. I really do not know what is the problem, I am just comparing your system and mine to see if there is any clue. And I think these information will be useful if some real expert is considering your problem anyway... 8-P

cat /var/log/XFree86.log or something like this , and recheck if any error messages , if your XFree86 did not found these fonts , there should be some error messages like : remove font path or something like this

那個是說字型設的路徑找不到對吧...可是我去看...有做連結到字型放的地方丫...

Aha, I think here is the problem. Please delete the
/usr/lib/X11/fonts/CID
part, and add
/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/CID,/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType
to see if it works.

I think it doesn't matter, but if the above change doesn't work, try uncommenting it back.

So daemon is right, the XF86.log gave the correct error message. I am quite sure there is problem in your /etc/X11/fs/config. Maybe not the only problem, though. 8-P

I am really sorry to hear that. My system worked after I changed the /etc/X11/fs/config. Maybe there is something wrong with you defoma configuration, but I am really not sure. (By the way, you must restart X window after configuration.) So what is the information in /var/log/XFree86.log now?

I am afraid I can't help much here. Is there anybody familar with font settings?
