[問題] latex 不能在 unicode 環境下使用嗎？

最近試著把桌面轉換到 zh_TW.UTF-8
可是在 unicode 下用 CJK 套件就不能順利"編譯" (呃... 想不到更好的詞)
用 CJK 套件一定要在 zh_TW.Big5 下才能用嗎？

我是新手,正好最近也要開始用latex,手邊收集了一些資料
下面是從
/usr/share/doc/latex-cjk/examples/UTF8.tex
直接複製上來的
直接用kile開,編譯,就ok了!

而且kile是用latex編譯
不是用bg5latex
真是太神奇了..
(其實也不能用bg5latex編,會出現error
而上網找資料又不知所以然,怪怪的)

The teTeX 0.9 (and newer) distribution contains an Unicode adaptation of TeX, called Omega ( http://www.gutenberg.eu.org/omega/ , ftp://ftp.ens.fr/pub/tex/yannis/omega ). Together with the unicode.tex file contained in utf8-tex-0.1.tar.gz it enables you to use UTF-8 encoded sources as input for TeX. A thousand of Unicode characters are currently supported.



All that changes is that you run `omega' (instead of `tex') or `lambda' (instead of `latex'), and insert the following lines at the head of your source input.

看看 bg5latex 的檔案內容吧
他是先用 bg5conv 轉換後再丟給 latex
bg5conv 是用來把 big5 編碼文件處理成 latex 可以正常編譯的文件
既然是 utf-8 當然無法用 bg5conv 囉。
有關 bg5conv 可以直接看他的 man page

原來 latex 可以直接處理 utf-8 阿，好棒！

我已經自己找到解決的方法了
爬文爬得不徹底 orz
在李果正先生<<我的 cjk>>一文中就有提到 unicode 下的 latex 解決方案
一個是用 ucs 巨集或 CJK 的 UTF-8 編碼
一個則是用 omega (feng0020 上面有提到)
但是我沒有 fontenc 這個套件呢 怪...
看來要完全轉換到 unicode 還要一段時間 繼續潛水去
