請問如何關閉自動登入XWindow這項功能？

請問各位先進們，


在我裝好Debian Sarge nightly build (12th Sept 2004)之後，每次開機就會自動進入XWindow的login介面，其中並沒有我想用的ICEWM，只有KDE & GNOME選項而已，所以我想把這個自動進入XWindow的功能關閉。請問要如何達成呢？

那是因為你所用的 runlevel 中有 xdm, gdm, kdm 等等東西吧
可以把他們直接移除掉，或是用 update-rc.d 把他們從你用的 runlevel 砍掉

阿～～～～你還是沒聽懂
你 runlevel 中有 display manager，像是 xdm, kdm, gdm 這種東西
把他砍掉即可

可以用 update-rc.d 來管理
# update-rc.d xdm remove
# update-rc.d kdm remove
# update-rc.d gdm remove

或是手動到 /etc/rc2.d(因為你 default runlevel 是 2) 把 S99gdm, S99kdm, S99xdm 等砍掉

如果不會手動的可以用 rcconf ..
execute rcconf 之後你會見到一個 dialog display 你 /etc/init.d 中有的 entries ..
之後把 d2207197 上面提到的 xdm kdm gdm 拿走再按 ok .. rcconf 會幫你把 /etc/rcX.d 中合適的 sym. link remove

和一般所認知不同的是，
Debian 並不使用 run level 來決定是否使用 DM 進行登入。

請修改 ~/.xsession，
應該就可以了。

我也是直接用xwindow 的login (kdm) 而且也有ICEWM的選項 ，裝上去就有了，我好像沒改什麼
