我的環境是 zh_TW.utf-8 我用 bmp 無法顯示 mp3 的 tag
所以我就抓 easytag 來自己打上去，使用 UTF8 編碼，

然後用 bmp 開啟，就顯示出來了，
但是只有一首失敗

實在是有夠奇怪，不知道怎會這樣...

会不会是id3版本的问题？
比如easytag只改了id3v1，而bmp显示的是v2？

我應該是寫入 v2 的，我剛剛發現應該是 bmp 的問題，
因為我對唯一有亂碼那首按 "View track details"

顯示出來的資訊是正常的，但是在 playlist 上卻是亂碼，

找到解決方法了，在 bmp 官方 FAQ：
修改一下偏好設定就 -> 把 nonutf8 自動轉 utf8
而且這樣我以後也不用慢慢改了

Why do I have "??? (Invalid UTF-8)" in the playlist?

You probably have MP3s tagged only with ID3 in a non UTF-8 encoding. The ID3 format does not carry encoding information, so BMP makes some assumptions and does some guesswork. It will check if your tags are encoded in the encoding associated with your locale, if not, gives up and adds 'Invalid UTF-8' to the end of the title.

You can tell BMP additional encodings[1] to check for using the MPEG Audio Plugin Preferences dialog (Preferences->Plugins->Media->MPEG Audio Plugin->Preferences->Title).

[1] Currently only 1 additional encoding is supported.

不过……你不是说用easytag写入tag时用的是utf8的吗？

現在已經可以支援多語系了~~~

通常加入 big5,gb2312 以後，就幾乎可以顯示所有檔案了

藉這個主題問一下：
我對easytag的id3編輯有點問題，跟mp3 player有關。
我的player可以接受unicode的tag，但是讀easytag編輯出來的tag卻是亂碼，
試了unicode-16LE、UTF-8等都不行。看起來用easytag編輯出來的標籤不會註
明這是unicode的標籤，我的player就把預設的語言當成標籤的編碼（在正體
中文顯示下就是big5）。

後來換了一個java的軟體叫jaikoz就可以正常在xmms上跟mp3 player上顯示了
。這樣編輯出來的tag也可以被rhythmbox正常讀取。不過這個軟體是要錢的
，不知道有沒有人知道其他的id3編輯軟體？

我用「id3」搜尋apt-cache，能裝的都裝過了，都不合用…

加上 special file info, masstagger, freedb 等 component 之後，
foobar2000 的 tagging 能力算是超強的
