不知各位用的Realplayer8及mplaye的效果如何?

小弟用的是debian3.0 unstable,kernel2.4.18-bf2.4。

小弟使用Realplayer8，在使用過程中有以下現象：

在Gnome候2.0下，用Realplayer8會與esd發生衝突，當聽一些廣播的時候，開始十多秒後便沒有聲音，按停止健沒有反應，（應該說是按桌面上任何icon都沒有反應），需切換到完全Console將esd 殺掉，桌面才可恢復正常。如果播放的是影像，沒有聲音，但畫面仍繼續播放。小弟只有128Mb Ram，是否不足?
Realplayer雖然有sound driver esd 及 oss可選擇，但小弟只能用esd。
不過在xmms中卻可選用esd 或 oss。

至於mplayer v0.90rc2，則有以下的問題:
1.只有oss才能發聲
2.理論上它可支援很多特別的檔案格式，如wmv,asf,rm,ram等等，
可惜我卻不能用來收聽網上廣播和視像，（如BBC,Radio Television
HK)，都是說格式不被支援。但我已裝了所有的Win32codec,Real codec及
Quicktime codec.
我看到一些文件說，那些win codec 和real codec 有一些不公開的成份和新版 本， 第三者的軟件無法全面包含。

耶...mplayer...因為這位兄臺在編譯的時候沒有將esd or artsd enable。

請在編譯之前安裝好，libsdl1.2debian-all，這樣mplayer就可以enable esd or artsd，而補充一下，artsd and esd 需要用sdl來作輸出，所以才需要libsal1.2debian-all,libsdl1.2-dev

建議mplayer搭配artsd作音效輸出，因為用esd的時候，mplayer的音效相當差！！！！
(撥放dvd的時候)

小弟的mplayer 用 artsd，xine也是用artsd輸出，音效很好，realplayer也是用artsd輸出。

realplayer最好是用esddsp realplay(arts: artsdsp realplay)來開啟realplayer，比較不會掛掉。但別忘了realplayer要enable esd output。

xmms要另外安裝xmmsarts。

這樣講不曉得有無看懂。

I get your meaning.

I installed the mplayer from http://marillat.free.fr/ unstable main and no compiling is needed.

For my Realplayer,there are 3 options of sound-driver:
1.Use native sound driver
2.Enable support for old oss driver
3.Esound support.

Only option 3 can play sound, no matter in Gnome or KDE.
(KDE use arts,so I have to kill arts and start esd to use rp8).
The esd always crashes my rp8.

no...artsdsp is a application of the arts.

the goal of artsdsp is that we can route the sounds of software that doesn't support the artsd.

so if you had some software that can't play sound by oss. Tre to execute "artsdsp [your_application_execute]" to use the software

弟現在已移除kde，恐怕arts亦已一併被移除，但我在aptitude中卻找不到arts的套件，
它的正確名稱是甚麼?另外，怎樣啟動arts，我以前在terminal中鍵入arts，得出的顯示是no such command。

另外，根據阿信兄所說的"artsdsp [your_application_execute]"，我執行artsdsp realplayer，亦是得到no such command。

sorry....Realplay的執行檔應該是realplay才是，所以執行artsdsp realplay就可以使用realplay了。

arts請安裝libarts，希望有幫到忙。

ps:小弟並沒有加入kde3的敘述，純粹只有official的敘述。
