升级到XORG,进不去X了。

用testing的源dist-upgrade了一下,好象既有xserver-xfree86,又有XORG了
用dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg配置完也不行
有什么要注意的地方吗?

裝xorg會自動取代xfree86,應不會同時存在。看看xorg的log會有幫助。
之前有很多人有這樣的問題,可以搜尋看看。

請問能否提供一下錯誤訊息呢?
好像在/var/logs/裡可以找到和xorg有關的訊息
如果能貼上來

但是您目前得核心是2.6.8-2-686

所以您必須升級到2.6.14-2-686

那我是不是应该重新装一下显卡驱动啊??
可是我的gcc是4.0,编译老是fail.
现在应该有很多人在用xorg了吧?大家都没遇到同样的问题吗?

PS:我driver不写nvidia也不能进X的

各位學長好

在laobao原來的錯誤訊息中(xorg的log),第6行building date 後面有兩行字

**我不太確定那是指xorg要保持最新版,還是核心要最新版。

數週前我遇到和laobao一樣的問題時,在Xorg.0.log檔案內的錯誤fail訊息只有一個(現在laobao的錯誤訊息,除了apm之外,還有nvidia問題),我的錯誤訊息是
(WW) Open APM failed (/dev/apm_bios) (No such device)

我將核心升級後,x就回來了。不然一直在concole狀態。

供參考.

把gcc先換回3.4,再編一次nVidia的nvidia.ko,應該就不會再出現:"(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to load GLX"這個問題了。

i delet "load glx" in xorg.conf ,then statx successfully !!
i know i have to re-built the nvidia module,but still have some question?
