請教 pptpd using mppc

I hv some problem about pptpd. Please help!

My server is:
Debian kernel 2.6.17-2-k7
pptpd ver. 1.3.02
ppp 2.4.4.rel-2.

It hv mppe support but no mppc. How can I add mppc?

I hv search the web and find that there should be a module ppp_mppe_mppc, But I only got ppp_mppe.
There are some patches but they are for for kernel 2.6.13 and ppp 2.4.3. Is it ok to use these patches?

How can I add mppc support to my pptpd so that improve data transfer between the winxp client and my server.

關於你的情況，我之前也曾有過。

事實上不難解決，你可以參考一下網路上的資料，我當初也是照著
那些資料慢慢 K 而解決的。

主要找到 patch，配上後，即可在 menuconfig 下找到 MPPC/MPPE 的選項，
打勾就行了。

假使未曾經過 patch，在 PPP 預設的選項中，
是否就已經有 MPPC/MPPC Support 可以勾選了呢？

我之前使用 2.6.15 的 kernel 時，印象中未上 patch 就可以勾選相關選項了。

(由於現在人不再 linux 主機上，無法幫你驗證看看 )

I had read those instructions. But I can't find patch for kernel 2.6.17 and ppp 2.4.4. I can only find patches for linux-2.6.13 and ppp 2.4.3. Can I use these patch on my system?

And seems all instruction need to recompile kernel. I hv not do this before.

我找了一下，似乎也沒有相關的 patch 檔案，
我覺得 2.6.17 可能已經預設支援這些功能了，
建議可以 make menuconfig 檢查一下，是否有相關的選項可以選擇。
(我很想幫你確認，but.. 現在手邊正好無任何 linux 機器可以測的 XD)

嗯，最壞的打算，假使核心預設不支援，那麼的確要 rebuild kernel。
好一點的話，也許預設它已經編為模組了，那就不需要重新編譯了。

這裡說的『選項』是指在 make menuconfig 的時候，
有關於 kernel 功能的選項。

mppe是PPTPD的数据加密方式，一般用128位
mppc是PPTPD的数据压缩方式。
用楼主的方法，MPPE+MPPC，出了问题。后来用PPTP官方网页的安装方法，只是使用mppe，结果成功了。大家可以看看这里：

mppc稍后再研究啦。 <-----

我個人覺得，假使沒有非常必要用到 mppc ，
短期內，基本能跑的話，應該也行囉？

Oh! what a pity.
Now the vpn connection is ok. just the data transfer is not good. I just think that if data compression is on, than data transfer is better.

I hope it can be solved soon.
