[請教] how to restore data from tape drive

Hi All,

I use backuppc to archieve daily backup to tape, but how can i restore data from tape drive?

when i type the command "tar -xvf -/dev/nst0 /var/tmp", the following error message show, please help, many thanks.

***** error message *****
tar: -/dev/nst0: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

check /dev/nst0 為何不存在.

i haved fixed it
the correct command should be
"tar -b 16384 -xvf /dev/st0"

but i would like to ask how to get the block size 16384, what command i can use in order to get the block size
