【Debconf 設置樣板的翻譯】 Christian Perrier [5]更新關於 debconf 設置樣
板的翻譯狀態。大部分的 debconf 設置樣板目前都是透過[6]po-debconf 來管
理，這個工具可以讓 debconf 設置樣板的翻譯工作容易許多。目前只有 102 個套
件仍未採用該工具。他計畫開始上傳這 102 個套件的"非維護者"版本，以期讓這
些套件能夠支援po-debconf。Lucas Wall 也[7]提供了一個關於這些套件的狀態頁。

【發現Moria的作者】 Robert Koeneke，這位 [8]Moria （其中一個 [9]rogue 類
型遊戲）的原始作者[10]聯絡 debian-devel 郵件論壇，他很驚訝的發現時值今日
仍有許多人還在玩這個他 20 年前開發的骨灰級遊戲。他正在研究將這個遊戲用
[11]GNU GPL 重新發行，這將使得 Moria 以及 Angband 以及他們的衍生作品進入

【FTP 管理團隊扮演的角色及其責任範疇】 Matthew Garrett [12]解釋 ftp 管理

義中的第一篇。FTP 管理者應該要管理主套件庫，負責增減軟體套件、並且與版本

【Unstable 版本的相依性問題】[13]積丹尼（Dan Jacobson） 非常疑惑的[14]詢
問有關於套件相依性總是無法滿足的問題。Colin Watson [15]回答他這是因為
unstable 存在的其中一個目的就是要解決這些相依性問題。而 Goswin Brederlow
則[16]正經八百地解釋這是因為 binary-all 套件本來就設定了非常嚴苛的版本相

【要驗證 Sarge 檔案嗎？】 Andreas Barth [17]提到現在有一個大好機會來更新
[18]apt套件，所以有人（就是Joey）[19]對於套件庫自動驗證(automatic
archive verification)功能有興趣的開發者們支援。為了達成這個目標，
Florian Weimer [20]創建了一個非常詳盡的[21]狀態回報網頁。

【相依性自動電腦】 Joel Aelwyn 建議[22]實作dh_devincludes ，這可以計算特
定軟體套件在編譯時所需的開發函式庫。他認為這個實作也應該支援指定版本相依

【要放棄一些平台嗎？】由於部份硬體平台（如s390、mipsel等等）的 Debian 因
為硬碟空間不夠而無法編譯成功，有人馬上就[23]回應說應該[24]放棄一些硬 體

【Debian 有新的 mplayer 套件】 Andrea Mennucc [27]宣布他已上傳了符合
Debian 要求的 mplayer [28]套件。上游的開發者已在過去的一個月中解決了授權
方式的爭議。而由於合法性的問題，對於 DeCSS 的支援已經移除。

【PHP 可能的授權問題】 Martin 'Joey' Schulze [29]引用了部分 PHP 的授權條
款並且質疑 Debian 是否可以將套件名稱命名為 PHP。 MJ Ray 則[30]指出有關的
用字遣辭在 PHP4 之中已經加強，並主張這不會影響 Debian 繼續將套件命名為
PHP。然而 Steve Langasek [31]說明為何 Debian 確實沒有權力將套件命名為PHP。
