【圖形 Debian 安裝程式映像檔】 Frans Pop [3]報告 圖形介面的[4]安裝程式 已經
是正式每日建構的[5]映像檔的一部分。目前有 i386 平台的版本， amd 和 powerpc
的很快就會出現。 要使用這個新的安裝程式，用開機選項「installgui」或是
「expertgui」 都可以。 Frans Pop [6]解釋到圖形介面可能會在 [7]etch 釋出之後
變成預設選項。

【Debian 開始散佈昇陽的 Java】 Jeroen van Wolffelaar [8]宣佈 昇陽修改授權之
後，昇陽的 [9]Java 套件 已經在 Debian 的 non-free 區域。 Debian 仍然會繼續提
供支援自由的 Java 執行環境和開發環境，像是 [10]Kaffe 和 [11]GCJ。 儘管如此，
Red Hat 仍 [12]抱怨這樣仍然不夠自由，昇陽最起碼要釋出他們的虛擬機器（JVM）。

【DebConf6 圓滿落幕】 過去一週在墨西哥舉行的第六屆 [13]Debian Conference 已

【分解 Changelog 檔案】 Nico Golde [16]好奇 要怎麼處理那些巨大、老舊的
debian changelog 尤其是當它們可能被不斷編輯並不斷變得更大。一個主要的[17]選
擇 是保留整個檔案，因為它包含了所有關於為什麼還有何時 bugs 被修復的紀錄。因
為它都是在壓縮之後才包進套件，所以花掉的空間通常還是可以被接受的。
