【PDF 檔壓縮事宜】 Yaroslav Halchenk [10]指出，現在 [11]unstable 中附
的 PDF 檔約有一半被壓縮成 .pdf.gz 的格式，因此無法直接使用一般的程式閱
讀。雖然[12]準則要求維護人員必需將大的文件檔壓縮，但是 PDF 檔本身其實
已經是壓縮過的格式了。現在其它未壓縮的 PDF 檔約佔 150 MB，就算是用
[13]gzip 把它們都壓縮起來，也只能省下約 50 MB 的空間。

【使用 System-V 式的 Init 命令稿】 Lars Wirzenius [16]指出，許多套件在
它們的維護人員命令稿（maintainer scripts）中，至今尚未使用 invoke-rc.d

【少有人用的孤兒套件】 Nathanael Nerode [21]整理了一張表，列出被安
裝[22]紀錄不到二十筆的孤兒套件。這表示，平均每五百筆安裝紀錄中，這些套
件被安裝的次數還不到一筆，因此，也許應該考慮將它們從 Debian 檔案庫中移
除。因為這些套件讓 Debian 檔案庫顯得雜亂，並且雖然它們被納入 Debian 中
，卻沒人打算維護這些套件，所以他打算對這些套件提出移除的申請，想先問問
看是否有人不贊成這麼做。Bas Zoetekouw 對此持[23]反對的意見，他認為儘管
