[問題] 核心2.6.17的啟動載入速度很慢

各位前輩大家好
小弟升級到2.6.17之後,發現核心在載入過程很慢
核心在開機不久(尚未進入INIT)就停在下面這兩句很久(約20秒)
hda: FUJITSU MHV2060AH, ATA DISK drive
hdb: TSSTcorpCD/DVDW TS-L532A, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
....
接著進入INIT之後
ts: Compaq touchscreen protocol output也停了非常久(約半分鐘...)

請問一下大家
現在更新核心是不是要多個什麼步驟?

抱歉舊話重提了,這個問題還是沒有解決
不過...小弟實在需要更新核心使用,所以還是再厚顏上來問一下大家

我的Debian testing原先一直都是使用2.6.15
這個版本的核心在開機過程都還蠻快蠻順的,啟動X的時候也很快
不過一旦用2.6.17或2.6.18開機,開機過程就會變得非常遲緩
從console輸入startx到出現X出現滑鼠指標的畫面也拖很久
看起來很像是在載入硬體驅動程式的過程在耗時間
(不過也只是猜測而已)

不知道各位前輩知不知道換了2.6.17之後在開機載入過程變慢有可能是什麼因素所造成?
有沒有什麼方法可以解決

ps.
2.6.17以後的核心會有這個問題只有在我那台筆電上才會發生
在我另一台舊電腦上頭好好的
所以我也很困惑...

把不要的模块编译进内核和没把跟自己机器相关的模块编译进内核是使内核启动减慢的元凶。楼主要编译内核的话,请先仔细了解自己的机器再进行。

小弟是使用Debian testing的核心套件啦,不是自編的(我不會~ :-p)

我的筆電是pentium M的CPU,我裝的是linux-image-2.6.18-3-686
版本應該沒有選錯才對(不然我再換成k7的版本試試看好了)

試試看grub boot的時候加上這兩個參數
hdc=noprobe hdd=noprobe

或是 ide1=noprobe

pentium M 的 CPU,應該裝 linux-image-2.6.18-3-486 才對。
PPro/Celeron/PII/PIII/P4 的 CPU 才裝 linux-image-2.6.18-3-686。

太感謝了!!!


不過小弟萬萬沒想到centrino的Pentium M竟然要用486架構最佳化的核心...
我一直以為它是686的...我真是太淺了!
