[VMware] What is the location of the directory of C header?

大家好，我遇到一個問題，就是安裝VMware的時候都會遇到的問題，之前我遇到這個步驟
What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include]
的時候，我會去安裝相對應的linux-headers，然後就可以順利安裝了。

但是我現在使用自己編譯過的kernel，我放在
/usr/src/linux-2.6.18.3
我遇到這個問題的時候，我填上
/usr/src/linux-2.6.18.3/include
但是VMware的安裝程式卻出現
The directory of kernel headers (version @@VMWARE@@ UTS_RELEASE) does not match
your running kernel (version 2.6.18.3). Even if the module were to compile
successfully, it would not load into the running kernel.

google找很久，我還是無法解決這個問題，希望大家幫幫我。

如果有自己編譯過核心
要再找一個叫做 vmware-any-any-update*.tar.gz 的檔案
解壓縮之後執行裡面的 runme.pl
然後應該就可以順利安裝了

你編譯好的kernel src應該是有用make-kpkg clean or make clean的動作清掉。

要回覆到你先前的設定，跳回到你的kernel src，然後下：make oldconfig

這樣你的vmware就能找到對應的kernel了

我的核心是2.6.22-k7也裝了linux-headers
但還是卡在這裡
