[問題]如何讓安裝軟體時知道還需要其他什麼軟體呢？

比如我下
apt-get install xxxx
結果系統說
libxxxx is not installed......

之類的情況時
我們要如何去安裝那些其他的軟體呢？
因為常常要安裝的是lib
可是都不能確定是那個package裡的說

有那位大大知道嗎？

一般情況 apt 也會自動 install 必要的 package.

你也可用 apt-cache show XXX 看軟體的 Depends, Recommends and Suggests package

你指的是你目前的testing apt資料庫內無法用apt-cache search 的指令找到libkdegames和kscore而導致無法安裝kde-games這個套件嗎?

這是因為你要安裝的 kde-games 相依於 unstable 裡頭的 libkdegames
但是 libkdegames 相依於 kdelibs3 ( KDE 2.x ) ，但是您系統安裝的 KDE
是 3.x 的 libs ( kdelibs4 ) 相斥於 KDE 2.x ( kdelibs3 )...因此.
您是無法安裝 kde-games 的，解決辦法：

* 等該 package 維護者包好 for KDE 3.x 的 kde-games .
* 自己找坊間(非 debian 官方)包的 deb.
* 自己找 source 來編譯..
