請問有人知道有何文字模式版的字典工具嗎？

請教各位先進,
在現今網路發達的情況下，小弟在偶爾需要查詢英文單字時，習慣上都會上網查詢，只是每次查詢就需要打開瀏灠器，等待漫長的回覆時間（3~5秒），似乎不夠便捷，不知是否有大大知道有什麼套件，可以像shell裡的man工具一樣，在Shell中直接輸入就可以查詢？
