Almost all of the above is configurable at compile time!
So if you don't need one or more features, just leave

Workstation Edition of wolk4.0w.
Lots, _really_ lots of code fixes and cleanups were also made.
Although this is named Server Edition it is also perfectly
suitable for your desktop and for sure for all of your
servers. It's stable, fast, rock solid and very secure.

小弟用下来感觉桌面性能的提高不少（ck6小弟也用过，也相当不错，wolk包括了ck6的所有patch），更重要的是这个patchset集成了很多安全，系统增强的patch。虽然这一版本是针对Server的（Workstation版本也即将推出），但小弟认为用在桌面上也相当适合，可以省下不少自行打一连串patch功夫。
<2>CJK-LyX (Qt frontend Edition)
相信很多大大都用过CJK-LyX，它号称“所见即所想”的LaTeX前端软件，排版效果和直接写Latex文件差不多的，但效率要好些，而且LyX档案可以随时转换成latex档案让kile来进一步处理排版细节。
小弟原来用的CJK-LyX XForms Frontend，最近才发现qt frontend的版本也完成了。小弟用下来感觉还是Qt界面的比较好用，故向各位推荐一下。
