我剛換了顯示卡，要怎麼換驅動程式？？

我的kernel是2.4的，有支緩嗎？

如果有，用kernel的跟用官方提供的有差嗎

對了，我換上去的是g400
我在官網上有看到rpm的，但沒有deb的
要載souce回來自已編嗎

顯視卡的 driver 是跟 Xfree86 有關，可以參考 www.xfree86.org 的driver list。

如果您的卡是 Matrox G400，請修改 XF86Config-4，把driver改成 mga，關於 Matrox的顯視卡支援請 man mga 取得更多的資訊。

用kernel的驅動程式和官方的驅動程式有差嗎？？

官方驅動程式除了能正常 work 之外，還有版權問題要考量，除非 Linux Kernel 或是 XFree86 不支援該硬體，不然直接使用 Kernel support 會比較簡單一點。

如果您在使用上有問題，且確定 xserver-xfree86 確實不會寫入設定檔，請 mail 給 Xfree86 的 maintainer 讓它知道該 bug 並且修正，畢竟套件在包裝時有可能出現錯誤沒有處理，但這些都是可以修正的，只要大家熱心幫忙找出錯誤，Maintainer也是會很樂意解決的。
