[問題]bash提示號下無法輸入中文，進入vi或ncftp 提示號就可以

我是從win2k telnet進linux
在bash的提示號無法輸入中文
如"地下鐵"就變成"aUK"
我觀察的結果是，中文字是兩個byte...結果都只出現low byte

可是進入vi後就可以正確如入中文
進ncftp後也可以

我是用debian distribution
我是過重新安裝 testing 版的bash也是無解

在 /etc/inputrc 中找到這段：

將set convert-meta on前面加上 # 註解掉，再重新登入試試看

是問為什麼你的是 off 而大家幾乎都是 on?
還是問 convert-meta 有何公用
如果是後者，inputrc 中不是寫了

what is meta key?

A Meta key is a key on the keyboard that modifies each character you type by controlling the 0200 bit. This bit is on if and only if the Meta key is held down when the character is typed.
