There I found an interesting url on linux magzine, talking about steps to install linux kernel 2.6. Though it's not so fresh as kernel version has been progressed somehow further, yet it gives an overview to the steps of kernel installation. It also mentions some useful tips, such as version of modutils may have impact to the system installation. Although it's not a big deal for those who's used to setup kernel, it helps others, in fact.
