Sr. Application Engineer
Position Overview:
The candidate will be working as part of engineering team at BSQUARE Taiwan office, to work on multiple application projects.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design and implement new features in the Desktop Application using Qt.
•Integrate 3rd party components.
•Develop applications and integrate 3rd party solutions.
•Provide guidance and technical support to other junior engineers.
•Lead the project team and report to upper management in US.

Minimum Qualifications:
•6-8 years of programming experience.
•4+ years of Qt programming experience.
•BS in Computer Science or similar is required.
•Strong C++ skill.
•Experience in PC & Mac development.
•Good communication skill and good teamwork.
•Good discipline on programming.
•Strong in issue resolving.
•Strong desire in providing good quality service
•Performance driven and detail oriented.
•Familiar with OO programming
•Familiar with UI programming (MVC)
•Good English communication skill to co-work with US team and customer

- QA Engineer -
Position Overview:
The candidate will be working as part of QA team at BSQUARE Taiwan office and will be responsible for performing QA/Testing jobs on a variety of drivers and system-level OS components for adaptations of Windows Embedded (CE, Mobile and Windows Phone) to various platforms. These platforms include industrial handheld devices, smart phones, automotive devices, web appliances / web pads, video camera systems, thin clients, personal computing companions, set top box systems and more.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Help QA lead develop test plan and design test specification
2.Help QA lead create, develop, and design test cases
3.Help QA lead produce QA test documents and test reports
4.Understand customer device/platform specifications and QA requirements
5.Execute test plan and perform QA tasks according to the company standard test processes and test approaches
6.Modify and maintain test cases for a project need
7.Verify product releases or project deliverables to meet the company quality policy or customer acceptance criteria
8.Analyze test results and report defects through defect tracking system
9.Help triage defects
10.Lead self to carry out QA tasks efficiently and ensure integral delivery of high-quality of work.
11.Work closely with Development, QA and PM staffs as well as help developers to identify problems efficiently and provide testing information or experience timely to the project team to prevent from repeating the same errors or mistakes.
12.Ensure the integrity of product or project deliverables shipped to customers

1. Candidate should enjoy QA testing and verifying project deliverables or products
2. Must have knowledge of embedded operating systems, either as a result of schooling or experience.
3. 1+ years experience in software testing. drivers and embedded software testing experience a plus
4. BS/CS/CE/EE or equivalent
5. Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team environment
6. Ability to work with minimal supervision
7. Strong motivation and initiative
8. Strong desire to work on ensuring commercial quality level of products or services
9. Experience in C/C++/C# programming or strong willingness to learn C/C++/C#
10. Knowledge of Embedded Systems such as Windows CE/Mobile, Android, etc.
11. Experience in CE testing, CE driver testing, Windows Mobile/Phone testing a plus
12. Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio and Platform Builder testing experience a plus
13. Knowledge of C/C++/C#, VB, platform builder, defect tracking systems, and source code control systems a plus
14. Experience with a broad range of hardware a plus
