[分享] Linux 下的 MSN 軟體 - Amsn

我是安裝testing裡面的amsn
輸入畫面有出現 可是還是無法輸入中文
不管怎麼按 都只能輸入英文而已
請問是因為tcl8.4的關係呢
裡面的 amsn版本是0.91-2
不知道各位有沒有這種現象呢

amsn 只要修改執行檔中的 amsn 的路徑

testing 預設是用 tk8.4 所以會無法中文輸入

#apt-get install amsn tcl8.3=8.3.3-7.jserv-1 tk8.3=8.3.3-8.jserv-1 amsn
之後出現

那amsn怎麼會知道要用那個版本的tcl/tk呢?
若要使用aptitude 把他們 hold
僅需要hold tcl/tk 8.3這二個東西就可以了嗎?

這意思就是阿信重新寫了一個 script : /usr/bin/amsn ，這個 script 的內容就是：

cd /usr/share/amsn && /usr/bin/wish8.3 amsn


意思就是會切換目錄到 /usr/share/amsn ( 阿信將 aMSN 擺在 /usr/share/amsn ) ，然後指定由 /usr/bin/wish8.3 ( tk8.3 ) 來直譯執行 aMSN 嚕...

只是對中文支援度似乎不是很好罷了...

不知在 Gentoo 裡是否有加上這些中文的 Patchs？

如果看portage裡面~x86的版本的話，也以經是0.92版了

I am not advocating gentoo here, but there's really some officially-supported portage stuff with cutting-edge version.

有官方支援的portage, 就不需要用來路不明的sources.list來apt安裝甚至自己compile/package囉...(I mean in their respective 'stable' release)

Debian Woody 畢竟是兩年前的東西了，
所以裡面所包含的東西大多過時已久。

在 Debian Woody 裡，
甚至還找不到 OpenOffice.org 呢！


而這個討論串是在讓 aMSN 能有更佳的中文支援，
所以在這些 Patchs 進入官方 Source 之前，
只好暫時忍耐，
使用非官方的 sources.list 了。


註：用『來路不明』一辭可能會傷很多人的心哦∼

插一句話，Gaim 的 0.79 CVS HEAD 已經支援文件傳輸和 avatar 功能了。有喜歡 Gaim 的朋友不妨一試。

BTW，Tcl/Tk 8.5 即將釋出，偏偏 XIM support 有問題，我送了些 patch 過去，不確定能否解決問題，也要看 Tcl/Tk developer 是否會整合。

所以，在此也要呼籲各位，請多測試 Tcl/Tk 的 cvs head，看看 XIM 上是否發生問題，並且送 feedback 到 Tcl 發展總部，謝謝！

這有什麼問題，只是說目前debian sid中的amsn預設是以tk/tcl8.4搭配，在中文顯示是就會有亂碼，使用jserv兄的tk/tcl8.3的patch才會正常。

可能要跟maintainer溝通過是否願意在tk/tcl8.3納入jserv兄的patch...
